To understand virtual production in an affordable way
A hands-on workshop where you will learn how to set up a basic virtual production set by using a large OLED TV as your screen. The screen will be used as a window and we will use a pre-made scene in Unreal Engine to look into and work with how we can combine the digital and physical sets. The learnings could be scaled up to for a bigger LED-Volume.
The VP set could also be used for example as a stop-motion/puppet background or for close to medium shots.
The end goal of the workshop is to be able to understand the possibilities and limitations of virtual production, to get going with simple means and of course to spark your mind for new ideas.
Detta är den andra av två workshopar som görs av Kinemalab om att jobba i Virtual Production med begränsad budget. Den första är ReCycle! Lågbudget Scenografi Workshop och ges fredagen 19 maj 9:00 - 17:00.
Workshopserie i Viruell produktion
Gothenburg Film Studios Development driver i KinemaLab Workshopserie i Virtuell Produktion. Projektet är en riktad kompetensutveckling i form av workshopserie och lab med fokus på unga filmskapare och spelutvecklare i framförallt åldern 16-30 år som bor i Västra Götaland. Med projektet vill Gothenburg Film Studios Development utveckla nätverk som samlar de kompetenser, kulturutövare, organisationer och intresserade som kan stärka kompetensutvecklingen inom området. Projektet är ett utvecklingsprojekt med stöd från Västra Götalandsregionen och Göteborgs Stad.

Henrik Svilling is one of the founders and VFX supervisor at Istudios Visuals, a VFX and animation studio that has been operating since 2007. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Henrik has worked on various projects such as films, TV series, commercials, and video games. At Istudios Visuals, they have always been curious and interested in the latest innovations in VFX technology, which has led to their participation in two VP initiatives - one with Blekinge Technical University and one with Gothenburg Film Studios. Last November, Henrik acted as the ICVFX supervisor for Sweden's first test with VP on LED, a collaboration between Istudios Visuals, BTH, GFS, and StoryLine. Henrik and his team at Istudios Visuals strive to continue creating impressive and memorable visual effects.
Kinemalab är en del av Gothenburg Studios Development och driver verksamhet där det finns möjlighet att utvecklas inom film- och rörlig bild. Det finns en plats att verka på, labmöjlighet inom VP/VR samt stöd att söka både om du är i behov att jobba i en studio eller av inspelningsteknik. Huvudsaklig målgrupp är 16-29 år & boende i Västra Götaland.
